Why Choose Laser Printers?

April 4th, 2008

If your business strategy doesn’t pave too much attention, you
should come up with good reasons to keep it up and improve. In
aiming for a good promotion, you should create a lasting and big
impression to your customers. You just simply need a computer
and publishing software and you’re all set. Simple as it may
appear, it will take all accounts t0 increasing your promotion.
Even one person can do this simple job. A good publishing
software is essential along with skills and taste of designs in
order to march the scene. Even the computer with your digital
camera and your printer can help you come up with professional
prints and pieces. According to many researchers and analysts,
home or office printing is in demand and so many have switched
to that alternative because it has been proven to be effective
and manageable. Laser printers have been selling high these days
so more and more people are aware of what might these laser
printers showcase their customers. Every year, the production
and selling of printers have increased.

If you don’t have your own printer, there are so many affordable
printers in the market which is fit for your budget and
convenience. Just be sure you land on the right choice and you
are not taken advantage of.

In selecting a printer, you should know which type of printing
technology you are going to use and maintain. The most common
printers which is the inkjet and the laser printers have their
specialty in print jobs. Before selecting the inkjet or the
laser, make sure you go for what is compatible with your
printing job.

The useful laser printers were based in production of the early
Xerox process. Xerox is mainly used to create copies and
duplicates of some print materials with the use of carbon as
inks. Inkjet printers have a more direct approach when it comes
to printing colors in particular. The print head works
magnificently and it contains hundreds of chambers where the ink
passes through when it is heated. When electricity flows, tiny
drops of ink are spread onto paper to form an image. For some,
Inkjet printers are more advantageous among all other printers.
Aside from they are being sold at a low cost, it can print
outrageous prints with high quality colors and a faster turn
around in print production is also possible. Keeping a deadline
might not be a very dead line at all.

You Want to Build Your First Website?

April 1st, 2008

Before you start to build your first website, you need a website logo, tagline, a few graphics, headlines, and text to work with. To start, you need something to put into the website. What is difficult about the first website is your ideas may not be well formulated yet. Personally, I feel “breaking ground” is the most difficult part. As you can see, the heart of the problem could stem from lack of content and lack of direction. Unless you have a specific agenda in mind, developing an appropriate color scheme and design is near impossible.

For example, if you want to design a website, you are going to want to match your brochures and business cards to it too. Web designers do not ignore any aspect of a person’s business; and sometimes, web designers have to create whole business identities and create a whole look for their clientele (which is extremely time-consuming). This is one reason why it is so difficult to price web services.

Web designing involves more than graphics and knowledge of editors (i.e. Dreamweaver) or html code. Web designers not only need to understand how to design websites for aesthetic appeal, but they need to create websites with easy navigation systems. Web designers need to design websites for search engines and key in the title, description, and keywords into each webpage (within the html code). The way websites are designed and how they are optimized play a huge part in how search engines rank sites.

Typography and website content are the single most important aspect of design. Ultimately, typography is the driving force and the best means to deliver a message in the written form. Normally, the graphics support the written message and not the other way around. Therefore, typography should receive the most attention when designing a web site. Sans serif fonts, sized 9, 10, 11, or 12 are the preferred size of fonts for reading online. Readability is the key factor for all written communication.

The cost of websites depends upon how much design work needs to be done. The price will expectantly have huge price tags if a person requires a large eCommerce site with tons of graphics! You should thoroughly discuss what you want with your web designer; and hopefully together, you we can find a solution that fits into your budget.

To conclude, for your first website, be modest in your approach. Less is more! Then, as you become more computer savvy, you can slowly increase the size of it. (Revised 2/15/2006)

Why market with postcards?

March 31st, 2008

You are overlooking a highly effective and very low-cost sales
tool if your marketing activity does not include postcards.

Here are some of the many reasons postcards should be a part of
your marketing program.

1. Postcards work for any kind of business.

Postcards can produce all kinds of sales activity for all types
of businesses. For example, they can produce web site traffic
for online marketers, floor traffic for retail stores and sales
leads for direct marketers.

2. Designing postcards is easy and uncomplicated.

Designing an effective postcard is not complicated. It can be as
simple as printing your best small ad on a 4 x 6 card and
sending it to a list of potential prospects.

Postcards usually work best when the message is brief and the
postcard looks at first glance like a message from friend.

3. Printing postcards is simple and inexpensive.

You can print postcards with your own computer for about 1 or 2
cents each. Or you can have them printed professionally for
about 4 to 8 cents each.

4. There is a special low postage rate for postcards.

You can send any quantity of postcards by First Class Mail in
the US for only 23 cents each. The only requirement is that your
postcards must be at least 3 1/2 x 5 inches but no larger than 4
1/4 x 6 inches.

5. Postcards always get read.

Because postcards are delivered “ready to read”, almost
everybody will read it. Even people who usually throw out other
types of direct mail without opening them.

6. Postcards produce fast results.

Because postcards are simple and easy to use, they produce
results fast. You can mail postcards within a few days of
deciding to use them and you will start getting sales activity 2
or 3 days later. 7. Postcards are effective for generating web
site traffic.

One of the most effective postcard formats simply lists a few
benefits of a product or service on the card and tells the
reader to where they can get more information. This makes them
ideal for generating traffic to a web site.

8. Postcards multiply themselves.

Postcards are like small billboards. They often get saved by
recipients or passed on to others. 9. Markets can be accurately
targeted with postcards.

You can accurately target your best markets by sending postcards
only to mailing lists of prospects likely to be interested in
what you are offering.

10. Postcard marketing results are easy to measure.

Postcards normally generate over 90 percent of their total
response within 7 to 10 days. This enables you to quickly and
accurately evaluate the results of a postcard campaign.
