Last month we went on a hunting trip in the back country. We were going to meet some friends up at a trail in the mountains and hike in to camp. The tent we own isn’t made for back country camping so we had to search for a new tent. The tent made it to our house on time thankfully. We might not have made it to the camp. We got the camping tent we ordered…you know, you sometimes worry about online orders. Shipping was free. I couldn’t believe it. If you ever get the chance to hike into a camp, take it. It’s so worthwhile. So refreshing!

Security System

In planning for a week long camping trip, I thought it would be a good time now to get a security system for the house. Not only is it good to secure your computer and identity, all of that could crash if the house isn’t buttoned up. I don’t like to think somebody could steal our stuff. I hate the thought. We got a security system installed after bouncing around online looking for a good local reputable company. Installing the security system was a breeze. Should have done it sooner, but glad we did it when we did.

Waffler

On a cold fall morning, there is nothing that I like better than bunch of piping hot waffles. You could also have them for desert at night after a nice moves, just by putting ice cream on top of them. There are so many ways of cooking, and topping waffles that most people never even think about. Back in the 70’s, they topped them with all sorts of crazy stuff like lobster, cheese, tuna sauce, and meats. Its easy to make different flavors of waffles by adding fruits, nuts, chocolates, or other spices. Most often served with maple syrup, waffles are also served with fruit flavored syrups, fresh or caned fruit sauces.

Its no wonder that there are so many kinds if waffle makers. They are easy to use and convenient for cooking at the table. Avalible in round, square, or oblong styles. Some of them are also equipped with interchangeable irons for making novelty designed waffles. Some even are convertible into a grill.

My favorite kind is chocolate chip waffles, smothered in peanut butter topped with maple syrup. Heart attack on a plate, I like to call it. Lucky for me a have Acceletrim to keep the fat off me.
